Have you ever doodled while on the phone? The concept of the light installation, which bears the name Doodle, discovers the subconscious drawing of shapes and its lightness.
The Story
The various symbols we unconsciously create during the process of drawing ourselves often reveal more about their creator. In moments of this creation, our conscious control is weakened, the pencil is more controlled by the subconscious – and this can tell us a lot more about the real motives behind our behavior. This involves a certain ease and freedom in artistic expression that is very close to our client.
The form
The result of our doodling is a dimensional light installation consisting of 55 vials-shaped components overlooking a grand entrance hall. We combined different shades and techniques such as clear components with soda, clear ones with sandblasting along with pieces in two kinds of blue hue glass with soda all in two lengths to add dynamism and also subtlety. Each one of the components was made of hand-blown artistic glass in our glassworks in the Czech Republic using the traditional method of blowing into a wooden mold.
