So Fleur
In the middle of the hotel lobby, a flying carpet bejeweled with colored glass will take you on a journey to your favorite fairy tale.
The story
The project was created in close collaboration with Faig Ahmed, an Azerbaijani contemporary visual artist who is best known for his surrealist weavings which integrate visual distortions into traditional oriental rugs. For our flying carpet he created the textile part that gradually transitions into the glass one. Our section is bejeweled with glass prisms made of dense art glass.
The form
The carpet starts at 800 mm from the floor, winding along the column from which it emerges at the top, where the carpet itself passes into the glass part. These components, mainly rhombuses and triangles, are part of the dominant geometric shapes of the carpet design. The further the glass components are from the carpet, the smaller they are, so the shape gradually disappears. We have combined 7 color tones, but the most striking is the combination of blue and red. We produce glass components in our glass factory in the Czech Republic using the traditional method of blowing into a wooden mold.

The place
Our installation rises like a fragile roof over the central bar of SO. Fleur fine dining restaurant in Riyad, Saudi Arabia. The founder of the restaurant, Princess Sora Saud, wanted the restaurant to be a place you just don't want to leave from. Where you can find inspiration and dwell in its beauty. It was our effort to emphasize this feeling with our centerpiece light object.
